Floor Waxing & Buffing in Middle Tennessee

Tile and VCT floors stripped, waxed and buffed to a shine — hallways, gyms and lobbies that look new again — in Nashville and all around it.

A hallway, gym or lobby floor doesn't need snow and road salt to lose its shine — in Middle Tennessee it's rain, tracked-in mud and months of foot traffic that dull a VCT or tile floor down to a flat, gray version of what it used to be. Génesis Painting & Cleaning, run by Rosa, strips the old wax off, lays down new coats, and buffs the floor back to a shine — the same finish seen in the school hallways and office corridors photographed on this site.

The work fits around the building it's in: a school gym or hallway gets scheduled around the school calendar so it happens while the halls are empty, and an office lobby or corridor in Franklin, Murfreesboro or Smyrna gets done after hours so the floor is ready and dry before anyone walks in. Call or WhatsApp (629) 332-2422 for a no-obligation quote.

What's included

Old wax comes off first — the floor gets stripped down to the bare tile or VCT underneath, since new wax laid over old, yellowed layers never looks as good as it should. Fresh coats go down next, spread evenly across the hallway, gym or lobby, and once they've cured the whole floor gets buffed with a machine until it shines from one end to the other. In a school or office building, the work gets scheduled for when the halls are empty — over a weekend, a school break, or after hours — so the coats have time to dry before anyone walks or rolls a cart across them.

How we work

Message on WhatsApp

You send Rosa a WhatsApp with a few photos of the floor and the building, so she can see the wear before quoting.

No-obligation quote

Rosa gives you a no-obligation quote for the hallways, gym or lobby you need done, scheduled around your building's calendar.

Strip and recoat

The old wax comes off first, then fresh coats go down evenly across the whole floor.

Buff and walk-through

Once the coats are dry, the floor gets buffed to a shine and Rosa walks it with you before calling it done.

Floor Waxing & Buffing by city

A repainted living room in Nashville, a stained deck in Franklin, a school hallway waxed in Murfreesboro and an office cleaned in Hendersonville each need a different plan — and we handle all four.

Common questions

How often do floors need to be stripped and rewaxed?
It depends on how much foot traffic and tracked-in dirt the floor gets — a hallway near an entrance dulls faster than one further in. Rosa can look at the floor and tell you what it needs.
Can this be scheduled around school hours or a weekend?
Yes — floor work is usually scheduled for when the halls are empty, like a weekend, a school break, or after hours, so the coats have time to dry undisturbed.
What kind of floors is this for?
VCT and tile — the hallways, gyms and lobbies you'll see photographed on this site. It isn't a service for carpet.
Does the building need to be empty during the work?
The area being worked on needs to stay clear while the coats go down and dry, but Rosa can plan around the rest of the building staying in use.
